The top side of the cork carpet is waterproof and water-repellent. Cork does not absorb the liquid and therefore does not allow it to pass through - think of a bottle cork.

So after a shower, you can relax on the carpet and dry off. It is not necessary to wipe up and dry the carpet afterwards. The water dries easily on the surface - without leaving any limescale stains.

It is even possible to use the carpet on your dry or covered terrace. Just one thing: the carpet should not remain permanently wet on the underside. The carpet's granules are a mixture of cork and natural rubber. Keeping it under water for too long can lead to mold. But - no bad word about rubber - it naturally has a huge advantage: it provides additional elasticity.
